Join us next week, Wednesday, March 16, in Miller for the Hand County Community Awareness Meeting. The fundraiser is hosted by the Hand County Sheriff’s Office and will be held at the Miller Community Center located at 526 North Broadway Avenue. The event will feature a short documentary called High Point 10-79 featuring a case study in North Carolina. A Q&A with the retired Chief of Police who architected the innovative strategy will be available after the film.

We will also have a raffle for a book giveaway, “SEE WHAT YOU MADE ME DO” by Jess Hill. The community topics will include drug trends in Hand County and domestic violence in rural areas. It will also feature testimony from a survivor of domestic violence. Please call with any questions, or call the Hand County Sheriff’s Office for more information at 605-853–2408.
