Our budget for 2024, like all shelters in South Dakota, experienced a large cut from the federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA). We are working to fill that 55% shortfall with a supplemental grant and additional fundraising from the community.

We need your help!

Our fiscal year 2024 that started July 1, is short $45,000. We need to raise these funds in order to continue serving the community. Please donate to help us help others.

Your donation is greatly appreciated and fully tax-deductible as Ginny’s Safe House is a 501c3.

Become A Guardian Angel

How the Program Works

A guardian angel is often seen as a protective and nurturing figure, assigned to guide and protect someone as they journey through life. The Guardian Angel program is a one-year commitment. During that year, each Guardian Angel will be called upon to donate $100 to provide an emergency need for a domestic violence victim from Ginny’s Safe House. The Guardian Angel provides $100 to put toward an emergency need within five days of the call. All donations are tax-deductible and provide great relief and hope to victims in their time of need.
